Hi everyone!

My name's Peter Rawlik, and I’m currently in the Graphic Design Program at the University of Central Florida. My personality type was reported as a Turbulent Advocate (INFJ) someone who lets their passions lead them, someone fueled by their regard with the people in their lives, and someone who oftentimes gets carried away in the process of helping others.

My decision to go into the graphic design space was inspired by all the stories and storytellers I witnessed in my youth. I learned, at a young age, that there's a story in every person, every street, every business and even every website. I also learned that for every story there’s a story teller, and that's why I chose to be a graphic designer, to join in on the fun and help others tell their stories.

My hope for the future of my career's to work as a lead packaging designer for a major brand. I love the idea of having the skills and resources to shape the products that people interact with every day.

My father's a storyteller, and when my mother left us we relied on stories to take us places we couldn’t afford to visit. It was then that I acquired an appreciation for good storytelling, an appreciation that directed me to an arts school to study creative writing for four years. Despite my efforts, I found no passion for writing rather I found myself wandering into the graphics program. It was here that I realized that I could tell stories through my designs and that's how I got here.

This is a new chapter in the story of my life, I’m excited to be working here, and I can’t wait to see what stories we can tell together.
